Prayer Request from Lord’s
Harvest International (LHI)
Today’s prayer request is for the orphans in Haiti. Did you know Haiti is one of the poorest, most densely populated and least developed countries in the Western Hemisphere? The work in Haiti has largely been led by a man named Lesly Bertrand. In 1994 this pastor studied the Scriptures and came to believe in One God, man’s mortality and a coming Kingdom on Earth. He shared his findings with his Mennonite preacher friends and in 1996 they were kicked out of the Mennonite church and created their own group of 20 churches – and an orphanage. Lord’s Harvest International led trips into Haiti in 2001, 2002, and 2003. Others were planned, but political conditions have deteriorated in Haiti so that the US and Lesly Bertrand say it is not safe to travel here. Pray for the orphans, and those that care for them. Pray for their salvation, and that they will find strength and joy in following Christ.
ALSO REMEMBER Pastor Jerome Chembe of Tanzania, Africa. Jerome studied himself into COG beliefs and then searched the internet for someone with like beliefs. He found Anderson Chapel, a COG church in North Carolina. From there he was introduced to other COG members and last July when Joe and Rebekah Martin were in Africa they went to visit Jerome for four days. In November Jerome was baptized - at Anderson Chapel, North Carolina. Our world truly is shrinking! Who may be reading our website today? Who could you be reaching across the world – through your computer?
“For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

LILIES - can you believe it’s almost Easter? You can grace our sanctuary with Lilies and do so in honor or in memory of a loved one. Remember: You only need to give one Lily even if you have more than one name. Tell Pastor Rex by April 4th.
BETH MARSH is making steady progress. She’s into a routine now of therapy and so life gets a little boring at times. She thanks everyone for remembering her and lifting up prayers on her behalf.

NATE TSCHAENN who attended here summer of ’05 while studying at Cleveland’s Botanical Gardens wrote Frank Roper saying he continues to work at Oakland Nurseries, was recently promoted to a managerial position and became engaged. He wrote: “Give my regards to everyone at church. I hope you all are doing well. If I make it to Cleveland for the flower show this May I will try to stop in …”
JUNE (MACY) ROUTSON: My mother is doing really well although not ready to leave [nursing home] by any means. The therapists told me she has made great progress. She feeds herself and manages pretty well, but is not strong enough to roll the wheelchair so sometimes gets stuck someplace. She likes to read the newspaper, SS lessons and do word search puzzles. She enjoys getting the mail that comes to her at the nursing home. I told her that when the weather stays nice, we will get her out for a ride or to church. -- Etta Marie Routson Wetzel
FRANCIS BURNETT: The pastor’s list said last Tuesday that Francis is very ill and returned to the nursing home under hospice care. Remember this family when you pray.
AN EARTHQUAKE IN OHIO? Yes, a 3.6 on the Richter Scale and I was shaken while on my couch last Monday night. It felt like someone had kicked the back of the couch. They say we’ve had more than usual earthquakes in Ohio the last 12 months.
Both the Old and New Testaments are filled with promises of the Second Coming of Christ. There are 1,845 references to it in the Old Testament and a total of seventeen books give it prominence.
Of the 260 chapter in the New Testament, there are 318 references to the Second Coming, or one out of every 30 verses. Twenty-three of the 27 New Testament books refer to this great event. The four missing books include three which are single-chapter letters written to individual persons on a particular subject, and the fourth is Galatians which does imply Christ’s coming again.
For every prophecy of the First Coming of Christ, there are eight on his Second Coming.
Christ will establish God’s promised Kingdom upon the earth and reign over it for 1,000 years. He shall put down all rule and authority, and then turn the Kingdom over to his Father. Thus he himself will become subject to God. (1 Cor. 15:19-28)

Message: Peter’s Sheet Experience*
Key Texts: Acts 2:38-39; Mk 16:15,16; Acts 10:9-17; 11:1-4; Gal 2:11-16
*Peter’s Sheet Vision
…. he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat." “Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: -- Acts 10:9-17, 34
