The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by life and Spirit is life and peace.”

Our Sympathy
VIRGINA FILSON, Marjorie Reed’s cousin, passed away at age 84, in Springfield Ohio. Keep this family in your prayers.
THE SZEKELY’S could very well be in Florida today. I talked to them last Tuesday and they were cleared by the doctor to move on south. They planned to leave Wednesday. Soon, they will be providing us with an address that goes directly to their RV.
Rex, I want to thank you and my brothers and sisters in Christ for the many prayers this past year. I had so many requests and GOD heard them and answered them. My daughter said she was so thankful this year because early this year she did not think she would see thanksgiving. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

Have You Ever Considered
“Church Builder’s League”?
This is a General Conference program for Church brethren to help another church with a $25 donation – or more - twice a year. There’s about 400 members now or $10,000 assistance to each church for each appeal to a church needing help. Our new church in Kokomo IN with Dale Bliss as pastor is getting help currently. If you would like to join, simply give me your name and address (even those far away) and I’ll see that you get the letter twice a year + a couple reminders. Dayton was the first church to get help in 1958, Bedford got help in 1960 and Macomb 1968 – all these are churches I served.
A POLL asking people what they wanted for Christmas showed these in order of desire: 1) A computer, 2) Peace on earth, and 3) A big screen TV. What do you make of this that peace on earth falls between a computer and a TV?
China Bans Bibles from 2008 Olympics
The Christian Post reports that China is banning Bibles from the Olympic Games next year, allegedly for security reasons. The Bible is on a list that also includes video cameras and cups, all of which are prohibited from the Games. Christian athletes will not have access to Bibles in their Olympic village housing. The country is banning all religious symbols at the Olympic facilities in Beijing, and warning visitors to not bring more than one copy of the Bible with them to China. "The banning of Bibles and religious symbols by athletes in the Olympic Village by the Chinese government is evidence that it has not progressed to the level of civility that is worthy of hosting the international Olympic games," said the Rev. Dr. Keith Roderick, Washington representative for Christian Solidarity International.

Message: “I Don’t Know What The Future Holds, But I Know
Who Holds The Future
Key Texts: Habakkuk 2:9-14; 3:16-19*; 2 Cor. 7:5; Lk 22:44; Rom 8:18
Chorus: I Know Who Holds The Future
*Habakkuk 3:17-19: Though the cherry trees don't blossom and the strawberries don't ripen, Though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty, I'm singing joyful praise to God. I'm turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God's Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I'm king of the mountain!
